Our history
Motif stands on the site that used to hold the United Artists Tower. United Artists Tower was originally constructed in 1974 by two members of Elvis Presley’s backup band, The Jordanaires, and served as office and recording studio space for decades. The Jordanaires gained their notoriety when recording with Elvis Presley. They also backed up Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Marty Robbins, Ricky Nelson and virtually every other major name in both Pop and Country music during the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s. They are still known today as the World’s Greatest Backup Vocal group.
